MOCHEL
(Fight Choreographer)
Ned Mochel is certified by the Society of American Fight Directors
and is a black belt in Karate as awarded by the Japan Karate
Association. Ned was most recently Stunt Coordinator and the title
actor in Jack Slash, a cinematic display of sword work. Prior
to Jack Slash, Ned spent two months in Italy as the stunt
coordinator for FilmWarriors, a martial arts film. Before his
move to L.A., Ned was Fight Director for numerous Goodman Theatre
productions, Steppenwolf’s The Song of Jacob Zulu on
Broadway, The Lyric Opera’s production of McTeague, directed
by Robert Altman and many more. For his choreography in the pirate,
sword-fighting epic, The Fair Maid of the West, Ned received
a Jeff Citation for fight choreography. Ned is also an actor and
director having staged six of his own productions including the
world premiere of The Lord of the Rings and the critically
acclaimed adaptation of Killer Angels.
