The
cast includes: Paul Dillon as “Killer Joe Cooper” (marking his third
reprise of the role which he originated back in Chicago and later
Off-Broadway; starred in Chicago’s longest running play Hellcab
– in both the Chicago and LA productions; starred in The Conquest
of the South Pole, which won the Joseph Jefferson Award for Best
Ensemble; starred in Crazy Drunk in LA; and, most recently,
in Heart of a Dog at The Lillian Theatre in which he has just
received an LA Weekly Nomination for Best Actor); Joe Sikora as
“Chris” (a Chicago northsider, has been on such stages as The
Goodman Theater, Lookingglass Theatre, Chicago Shakespeare Theatre
and was in the HBO adaptation of Looking for Normal with
Jessica Lange, playing “Wayne”); Corryn Cummins as “Dottie” (yet
another Chicago native and current Steppenwolf member, recently seen
in the hit production of Lonesome West at The Odyssey Theatre
this past fall; seen on stages such as Steppenwolf Theatre,
Lookingglass Theatre, A Red Orchid Theatre, Timeline Theatre, the
Illinois Shakespeare Festival, Famous Door Theatre and Mary-Arrchie,
with whom she won a Joseph Jefferson Award for her work in The
Hot l Baltimore); Loren Lazerine as “Ansel” (recently seen in
Heart of a Dog at The Lillian Theater and has played in the hit
productions of Hellcab in Chicago, Los Angeles, Dublin,
Edinburgh, and Israel; and Laura Niemi as “Sharla” (seen recently in
the hit production of Ourselves Alone at The Gardner Stages
and Loose Ends at The Odyssey Theatre). This
“Shepard-esque” thriller is headed by director Scott Cummins, who
recently directed the West Coast Premiere of The Pagans for
The Road Theatre, garnering an ADA award for best ensemble and an
ADA nomination for outstanding direction. He was also recently
nominated for his work in Kenneth Lonergan’s Lobby Hero at
The Odyssey Theatre.
